Ephesians 6:11 “Put on all God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil”
While I was wearing my uniform today and thinking about all the additional gear we get sometimes just to do the job at hand, I thought “It is HOT out here and this stuff is HEAVY”. But God spoke to me and said “Well, choose the weight you want to carry”.
I knew exactly what He was telling me. Armor is heavy, but so is the weight of being unprotected. If you go into a battle without it, you may as well have stayed home – unless God anointed you to fight without it. Spiritual armor can be “heavy” too. But go outside into this cold world without it and God help you. It’s real easy to say “I don’t have time to read the bible, pray or talk to God. I don’t have time to do this the right way. God’s not moving fast enough”. But trust me when I tell you that these principalities that Ephesians 6 refers to will eat you alive without God on your side.
Today I chose the weight I want to carry.
